St Michael & All Angels, Brighton

Father Robert Fayers, vicar of S. Michael and All Angels, was Licensed as Priest-in-Charge of S. Paul's Parish on  17th November 2006. Due to this modern day link the two churches now work closely together. However there are also many historic links:

Father Charles Beanlands, the first Perpetual Curate of S. Michael's, began his ministry as an Assistant Curate at S. Paul's, serving there for 11 years under the legendary Father Arthur Wagner. At S. Paul's Fr. Beanlands would have met George Bodley who worshipped there.

Both churches were at the forefront of the Anglo Catholic movement in the 19th Century.
