What is the Prayer Circle?

S Paul’s Prayer Circle is a group of people who are committed to praying daily for the needs of our Parish and for the work S Paul’s is doing to develop our mission to our community in Central Brighton.

Many of us are unable to attend daily Mass due to our personal circumstances, so it is a way in which we can add our support to the prayers that are offered at Mass.

They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer and the Lord added to their number daily.

Acts 2 v 42, 47

How can I join in?

All you need to do is to start setting aside just a few minutes each day to pray for the Parish.

The ideal time to do this is at 11.30 a.m., which is the time of the daily Mass, however that is not possible for many of us, so we offer up our prayers at another time of day.

What else can I do?

You don’t need to do anything else. The amount of time you set aside each day is for you to decide. It is, however, greatly encouraging to know that others are joining with us in our daily prayers.

If you would like members of the prayer circle to include your own intentions in our prayers, or if you would like to receive a newsletter from time to time giving updates on the work of S Paul’s and developments in our parish, then you can fill in the form overleaf and hand it to one of the church attendants.
