VOLUNTEERS FOR CHURCH WATCHING AND CLEANING Volunteers are needed for Church Watching on the days that the Church is open to the public. Please talk to the Churchwardens – Victor and Michael if you are willing to help. Volunteers are also needed to help clean the church on a Wednesday. Please talk to Victor and Michael if you can help.
CHURCH WATCHING We are incredibly blessed here at St Paul’s to be able to have our church building open for several hours each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This is only possible thanks to the selflessness of our team of church watchers, two of whom are always on duty when the building is open to the public. It would be good to expand this team, and so if you might be able to give some of your time to the very worthwhile cause of enabling more people to experience the beauty of holiness here, please have a word with Fr Thomas. Even if you feel you can only give time on an irregular basis, perhaps to cover one of our existing team being on holiday, your contribution would be much appreciated.
APPEAL FROM OUR FOOD BANK Our city’s food bank is in considerable need of more donations. We have been asked to flag the particular need for tinned meat, fish, tomato and vegetables as well as pasta, rice, tinned fruit, tinned desserts and instant coffee. Supporting the needy is an integral part of our Christian discipleship, so if you can offer some help, please take your donations to the food bank, which is located at the Calvary Church, BN1 4NJ. Alternatively, if you wish to donate a sum of money for the food bank to then spend on what they need, you can do so using the link: http://www.brightonfoodbank.org.uk/how-can-you-help/.
